That magical time of year is fast approaching. As soon as the autumn leaves start to fall hints of Christmas begin to flash up. Social media is bustling with Christmas themed products, the shop aisles are lined with seasonal treats and Christmas pop up shops begin lining the high street.
There's no denying that Christmas can be a wonderful time of year for everyone but when you are about to celebrate your baby's first Christmas it's certainly one to remember. As a parent we look forward to celebrating our baby's firsts - first smiles, first steps, first day of school. The list goes on. Your child's first Christmas is certainly not one to forget.
I know first hand how significant that first Christmas can be. As a mother of two, I have celebrated two wonderful firsts, with my eldest being merely weeks old for his. Yes, I selected festive outfits that were suitable for the multitude of photos. Yes, I spoke to them about Santa's arrival, even though they knew nothing about Christmas spirit yet.
The biggest part of it all was the sentiment. A first year as a family unit. Then later another first as a family of four. Christmas doesn't lose it's magic when you become an adult. Sometimes it's just magical for a whole number of other reasons.
